If possible schedule an examination first them come back for a cleaning. If you have to have a tooth pulled or have to have a cavity filled schedule another appointment to relieve some of the stress from the experience. If you are stressed out during a cleaning bring something with you like a stress ball to keep in your hands. Another stress reliever you can do while sitting in the waiting room. Bring along a book you are reading, play a fun game on your phone or listen to music. This will help distract you and is a good stress reliever.

After your dentist appointment, set up a fun activity or reward yourself with your favorite treat.
